Our Story

About Sukoon

“Sukoon” means peace in Urdu. We exist to remove the small barriers that keep children out of classrooms — one pair of shoes, one uniform, one notebook at a time.

Our Mission

Every child in school

The reasons children miss school are often painfully simple. No shoes to walk in. No uniform to wear. No notebook to write in. Not a lack of desire — a lack of things most of us take for granted.

Sukoon exists to close that gap. We collect donations, buy the essentials, and get them to children directly. No child should stay home because their family can't afford a pair of shoes.

Our Values

What guides us

Children First

Every decision starts with one question: does this help a child get to school?

Radical Accountability

Every purchase tracked, every receipt shared. You don't have to trust us blindly — we'll show you.

Collective Power

One person giving $1 is a pencil. A hundred people giving $1 is a classroom full of supplies.

Basics Over Buzzwords

We don't chase trends. We buy shoes, uniforms, and books — the things children actually need.

A Letter to You

From the founder

I started Sukoon because the gap between a child attending school and staying home was often something absurdly small — a $3 pair of shoes, a notebook, a pencil. Not luxuries. The bare minimum.

We're early. We don't have thousands of donors or a wall of success stories. What we have is a commitment to do this honestly — no inflated numbers, no borrowed photos, no made-up testimonials. Just real work, documented and shared.

This is an invitation to be part of something from the very beginning. If that resonates, we'd be grateful to have you.

With hope and honesty,

The Sukoon Team
